How to build traffic to new website?

Apart from Google Adsense I would strongly recommend that you consider affiliate marketing as a means of monetizing your website. As an affiliate you can promote a wide variety of products and get a commission for doing so. In fact many affiliate programs pay as much as 75% out as commission. All you need to do is pick a product that is relate to what your website is about and put the link to the product on your site. Affiliate Marketing is one of the most popular and easiest ways to make money online.

There are a few ways to drive traffic to your website including:

1. Article Marketing (Write articles related to your target market and put a link to your website or product in the author resourse box) One such site where you can write and submitt articles is Ezine articles.
2. Join and participate in forums related to your target market. You should however make positive contributions and not just use these forums to promote your products as this would be considered spamming. Again a link to your product or website if allowed should be placed in your signature box.
3. Create a blog and start blogging. This is a great way to get to your target market and promote your products. Blogs are also more search engine friendly. A free blog service is Blogger.
4. Post videos on youtube. Youtube has millions of viewers daily.
5. Social Networking (Due to the grow.ing popularity of these sites such as Facebook, Linked etc you shoud join as many of these sites as possible and promote yourself and products withi the stipulated guidlines. Failure to do so will be seen as spamming.
6. If the product you are promoting is your own you can consider offering affiliates the chance to help you promote it and paying them a commission to do so. This will allow your product to reach a wider market.
7. Pay Per Click Advertising if you have the budget to do so. One popular PPC is Google Adwords.

Why 140 characters?

Why 140 characters?

SMS (i.e., texting on your phone) limits each message to 160 characters. Twitter takes that limit and reserves 20 characters for your username, leaving you 140 characters to play with. That’s how it started and we’ve stuck with it!
